Some of the diseases caused by bacteria


Humans can be infected with diseases caused by bacteria, viruses or parasites. There are also other microscopic life form that can cause infectious diseases in humans. These microorganisms live in the body and can be transmitted from one person to another. Thus, it is important that if a person has been exposed to a variety of infectious diseases, he should be separated from the general population to prevent further spread of the disease.

In its best light, our immune system able to fight off infectious diseases. But there can be very deadly disease and if left untreated can lead to death.

Here is a list of 5 common infectious disease caused by a bacteria.

1. Cholera

Cholera is caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae that contaminate water and food (usually seafood). This can cause water loss and diarrhea. The disease is spread through contaminated water and food we eat.

2. Inflammation of the brain membrane

Meningitis can be caused either by a virus or bacteria. Different types of bacteria can cause meningitis, but most cases of bacterial meningitis are meningococcal or pneumococcal. The bacteria can not live outside the human body. In the human body these bacteria thrives on the back of the throat or in the nose and upper respiratory tract. Thus, the disease is transmitted through coughing, sneezing or kissing.

3. Tetanus

Tetanus is caused by a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium tetani. This disease can not be spread from one person to another, but there is in the soil, in the intestines and feces of pets, farm and human waste. It is a dangerous disease because it attacks the nervous system and causes paralysis that can lead to death. This disease can be easily prevented through vaccination.

4. Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria are spread through the air. It is a highly contagious disease that causes difficulty breathing because the bacteria infect the lungs.

5. Whooping Cough (Pertussis)

Whooping cough is caused by bacteria Bordatella pertussis are spread through the air. This can cause severe coughing caused by strep throat (trachea).

General infectious diseases mentioned above now sefatal first because today has discovered many new treatments and many advances in the field of health. However, if the proper medication and vaccination is not given, the disease can spread and cause death.
